Intermediate fly lines are slowly sinking fly lines and are therefore particularly suitable for lake fly fishing, where we search a higher water column through our flies for and fish at different depths.
Intermediate lines are also used for river fishing - in the lower AFTMA categories 3 - 5, we can catch them with wet flies, micronymphs or smaller streamers. In AFTMA 6 and more, these intermediate fly lines can be used for river streamer fishing on larger trout and coarse rivers.
