In addition, it is a huge advantage that this type of box has compartments for loose flies on one side, which is great especially for dry flies, where you do not want to damage or bend the hackles due to inserting the flies into the foam.
In the Small size, you will find 9 free compartments in the box, which can be closed with a single transparent lid, the Medium size contains 12 free compartments, which can also be closed with a single transparent lid, and the Large size also holds 12 compartments on one side, which, however, already have their own separate transparent small "doors"!
You can always insert separate sheets of the same size as the box into the opposite side.
